Water Baptism

Baptism is a public declaration of your personal decision to follow Jesus.

We believe the Bible clearly teaches that baptism is the first step of obedience after making a commitment to Christ.

It is an outward sign of an inward association or change and a commitment to follow the example of Jesus Himself.

Baptism identifies us publicly with Jesus and with the local church. This is one of our favorite activities at River of Life. We celebrate it to the fullest!

If you are interested in participating in one of our upcoming baptism services, please send us a note here.

If this is your next step, we’d love to celebrate with you at an upcoming baptism.

Baptism for Adults & Students (Age 12+)

We hold baptism services about 4 times per year at our main River of Life Campus.

Baptism for Kids (Ages 7-11)

We want to make sure your kids understand what baptism is (and isn’t) and why it’s important. If your child has made the decision to follow Jesus and wants to be baptized, we encourage you and your child to discuss this next step with their Children’s Pastor during a Sunday Morning.

Baptism for Kids (Age 7 & Under)

River of Life prefers children under the age of seven wait to be water baptized. For children younger than seven we require a short conversation with a pastor to make sure the child truly understands the meaning of being water baptized. If you are interested in this, please contact us through our form to set up a time for you, your son/daughter and a pastor to meet.

We at River of Life also encourage parents with infants or young children to consider Child Dedication. This is a moment in our services where parents formally call upon God’s blessing for their child and publicly commit to raise him or her in faith.
