Welcome to C.O.R.E.
Purpose of C.O.R.E
The purpose of C.O.R.E is to develop healthy, spiritually grounded, mission-focused Team Leaders who lead with character, operational excellence, relational strength, and biblical integrity.
C.O.R.E equips you not only to serve effectively, but to become a mature disciple who reflects Christ in every area of life and ministry.
The C.O.R.E Framework
C.O.R.E is built around four core areas of leadership development:
C — Character
O — Operations
R — Relationships
E — Expectations
Each module is designed to strengthen you as both a leader and a disciple, equipping you to serve faithfully and lead effectively within the local church.
Below are the resources separated by module.
MODULE 1: CHARACTER
SPIRITUAL FORMATION & DISCIPLINE
As we abide in Christ, we are able to lead others from a place of depth and authenticity. Our effectiveness to lead in ministry flows directly from our connection to Him, not merely from our own effort or strength. Spiritual formation is not about checking boxes, but about cultivating a daily, dependent relationship with Jesus.
EMOTIONAL HEALTH
Emotionally healthy leaders create healthy ministries, while emotionally unhealthy leaders eventually create unhealthy ministries. Leadership does not eliminate pressure—it reveals what is already within us. This includes our mental and emotional health, both of which matter deeply to God and are essential for healthy, sustainable leadership
PHYSICAL HEALTH
Spiritual maturity is in step with the Spirit—it is not sustained by exhaustion. Our physical health directly affects our clarity, energy, leadership effectiveness, and capacity to serve faithfully over time.
INTEGRITY
Integrity is the consistent alignment of our heart, character, and actions with God’s truth. It is who we are in private and public, and it shapes the trust others place in our leadership. Integrity is not built in moments of visibility, but in daily decisions of faithfulness and obedience—and it is revealed over time.
MODULE 2: OPERATIONS
Ministry Systems and Processes
Healthy systems support healthy ministry. When systems are clear and consistent, leaders are able to serve more effectively, communicate more clearly, and steward their responsibilities with confidence.
Systems create clarity, eliminate confusion, and allow ministry to function smoothly. Without systems, leaders rely on memory and last-minute decisions, which often leads to inconsistency and stress.
Budget & Stewardship
Generous and responsible stewardship builds trust. Leaders are entrusted with resources that belong to God, and they are called to manage those resources with wisdom, integrity, and accountability.
MODULE 3: RELATIONSHIPS
Whole-hearted Teamwork
Healthy teams are built on unity, humility, and trust. Team Leaders who serve with a team mindset strengthen the culture of the ministry and reflect the heart of Christ.
Conflict Resolution
Healthy leaders address conflict with humility, honesty, and a commitment to restoration. Conflict handled biblically strengthens relationships and protects unity.
Pastoral Care
Ministry is caring for people. Healthy Team Leaders approach others with empathy, wisdom, and compassion, reflecting the heart of Christ in every interaction while recognizing their role and responsibility within the greater leadership structure.
MODULE 4: EXPECTATION
Policies and Procedures
Clear policies and procedures create a safe, consistent, and trustworthy ministry environment. They provide boundaries that protect both people and leaders while ensuring that ministry is carried out with integrity and accountability.
Membership & Culture
Healthy ministry culture is built through shared values, commitment, and participation. Leaders are not only serving within the church—they are shaping and reinforcing its culture.
